Today I recreated this dal vada recipe shared by Swapna Nair Mein'am.I made some changes but it tastes yum thank you for sharing your recipe.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Dal vada:

  1. 2 cups chana dal
  2. 2 Inches Ginger
  3. 6/7 green chillies
  4. 2/3 red chilli
  5. 1 tsp carom seeds
  6. 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  7. 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
  8. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  9. 1 tsp salt or as per taste

Instructions to make to make Dal vada

  1. Soak chana dal for 3/4 hours in water.
  2. Coarsely blend it. before blending take out 2 tspoon chana dal. while blending add,ginger,red chilli, green chillies.
  3. Take out mixture in bowl add salt,carom seeds,curry leaves, coariander leaves.mix well.
  4. In deep pan heat oil.once hot keep it on medium heat.put some water on your hand.take some mixture and with another hand press it to get flat Vada.
  5. Deep fry till golden brown. serve hot with coariander chutney.
